How do you search tweets by date?
Add since: and until: with dates written as YYYY-MM-DD. The since: date is included and the until: date is not, so since:2026-01-01 until:2026-02-01 covers all of January 2026. Combine it with from:usernameto read one account's posts from a specific period, or with words to see what people said about something on a given day.
On X, open the Latest tab to see results in time order; Top sorts by engagement. For more on this, read the guide on how to search tweets by date.

Can you search Twitter without an account?
X asks you to log in before it shows search results. The builder above gets around that for quick checks: press “Run it here” and you'll see the 10 latest posts matching your query, with views, likes, replies and reposts, without logging in. You get 3 free runs a day, and each result is cached for an hour. To browse a single account's profile and latest posts, use the X profile viewer.
Why are some posts missing from search?
Three reasons. Protected (private) accounts never show up in search. Deleted posts are gone for good. And accounts with a search ban are hidden from results even though their posts still exist. If your own posts don't appear when you search from:yourname, run the shadowban checker, and check whether the X algorithm is working for you.
Run the same search from code
The twitr.sh x_search tool takes the exact same operator string and returns posts as JSON, priced at $0.0012 per returned post with no API key. AI agents call it through MCP from Claude Code or Cursor.
curl -X POST https://twitr.sh/api/tools/x_search \
-H 'content-type: application/json' \
-d '{"q":"from:nasa since:2026-01-01 until:2026-02-01","queryType":"Latest","resultsLimit":20}'
# → HTTP 402 with the exact price; pay with any x402 / MPP wallet and retryQuestions
