What the Twitter viewer shows
Type a username and the viewer reads the account straight from X: the same public profile and posts anyone with an X account would see, laid out on one page.
| what | details |
|---|---|
| Profile | Name, @handle, bio, location, join date, verified badge and profile picture. |
| Counts | Followers, following and total posts, as X reports them. |
| Latest posts | The 20 newest posts and reposts, newest first, with their text, date, images and video previews. |
| Numbers per post | Views, likes, replies and reposts on every post, plus the average views of the posts shown. |
| Links | Every post links to its page on x.com, so you can open the original. |
How to view Twitter without an account
- 01Copy the username
Take the part after the @, or copy the whole profile link (x.com/name or twitter.com/name both work).
- 02Paste it and press View
Paste it into the box above. There's nothing to install and no sign-up.
- 03Read the profile and posts
The profile, its counts and the latest 20 posts load in a few seconds. Open any post on X from its link.
The lookup runs on the twitr.sh server, not in your browser. Your browser only loads the profile picture and post images, which come from X's image servers.
Why you need a viewer to see X without logging in
X shows logged-out visitors a limited view. Open a profile on x.com without an account and you may get a sign-in prompt, or a handful of popular posts instead of the latest ones. Search, replies and most timelines ask you to log in.
This viewer gives you the latest posts in order, with the numbers X shows signed-in users. It's useful when you don't have an account, don't want to sign in, want to check an account before you follow it, or need a quick look at a brand, a public figure or a competitor.
Is the Twitter viewer anonymous?
The account owner isn't notified. X doesn't tell anyone who looked at their profile, and the viewer never follows, likes or replies to anything. You don't need an account, so there's no X login tied to what you look up.
What the viewer can't show
It only shows what X makes public. A few things are out of reach on purpose:
| limit | why |
|---|---|
| Protected accounts | Only followers the owner has approved can see a protected account's posts. The viewer shows the profile and counts, but not the posts. Nothing should get around that, and this tool doesn't try. |
| Suspended or deleted accounts | If X has suspended an account, or the owner deactivated it, there's nothing left to show. The viewer tells you when an account is suspended or can't be found. |
| Replies, likes and lists | The viewer shows posts and reposts, not replies. Likes have been private on X since June 2024, so no viewer can show them. Followers lists and DMs aren't shown. |
| Older view counts | X started counting views in December 2022, and it doesn't report a view count for every post. Those posts show 0 views. |
| One-hour cache | Each profile is cached for an hour, so a post made a minute ago may not appear yet. Looking up a cached profile is instant and doesn't use a free lookup. |
You get 3 free lookups a day with no login, shared with the other free tools. Signed-in users can keep going for $0.02 a lookup from their twitr.sh balance.
Search Twitter without an account
The viewer finds accounts by username. Searching posts by keyword is different: on x.com, search asks you to log in. To see what people are talking about without an account, open Twitter trends, which lists the top topics on X worldwide and in 19 countries. To check whether an account's posts still show up in search, use the free shadowban checker.
View profiles and posts from code
Building an agent, a bot or a dashboard? The viewer is two calls to the twitr.sh X API. You pay per call in USDC, with no API key and no sign-up:
# the profile
curl -X POST https://twitr.sh/api/tools/x_read \
-H 'content-type: application/json' \
-d '{"resource":"get-user","username":"nasa"}'
# the latest 20 posts
curl -X POST https://twitr.sh/api/tools/x_timeline \
-H 'content-type: application/json' \
-d '{"kind":"user-tweets","username":"nasa","resultsLimit":20}'
# → each returns HTTP 402 with the price up front
# pay with any x402 / MPP wallet, then retry the same requestAgents in Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP client can call them as the x_read and x_timeline tools. For keyword search there's x_search. See all X tools and pricing.
Questions
- How can I view a Twitter profile without an account?
- Enter the username or profile link in the box at the top of this page and press View. You'll see the bio, follower counts and the latest 20 posts with their views, likes, replies and reposts. You don't need an X account, an app or a sign-up.
- Will the person know I viewed their profile?
- No. X doesn't tell anyone who looked at their profile, and the viewer never follows, likes or interacts with the account.
- Can I view a private (protected) X account?
- No. A protected account's posts are only visible to followers the owner has approved. The viewer shows the profile and counts, and tells you the posts are protected.
- Can I see someone's replies or likes?
- The viewer shows posts and reposts, not replies. Likes have been private on X since June 2024, so they can't be viewed by anyone except the account owner.
- Why does a post show 0 views?
- X started counting views in December 2022 and doesn't report a view count for every post. When X gives no number, the post shows 0 views.
- How up to date is it?
- Each lookup reads the profile and posts live from X, then caches them for an hour. The time at the bottom of the result shows when it was loaded.
- Is this Twitter viewer free?
- Yes. You get 3 free lookups a day with no login, shared with the other free tools on twitr.sh. Signed-in users can run extra lookups for $0.02 each from their twitr.sh balance.
- Can I search Twitter without an account here?
- The viewer finds accounts by username. To see what people are talking about without logging in, open the free Twitter trends page. To search posts by keyword from code, use the x_search tool of the twitr.sh API.
